		"Description: The Japanese director Kenji Mizoguchi filmed more than 80 pictures focusing on women. His work was realistic and critical of Japanese customs, which were macho and outdated. To make this claim, he used adapted and original stories, set in different centuries. In all of them, he always emphasized the strong female characters on three specific ways: mother, wife and prostitute/geisha. This article aims to analyze its major pictures and how the choice and development of these roles comes from the director\u2019s own life.Le r\u00E9alisateur japonais Kenji Mizoguchi film\u00E9 plus de 80 films portant sur les femmes.
